  • Title: Growth of GaInAs Quantum Dots through local-droplet-etching on InP-substrate for the standard telecom window
    Student: Maximillian Fuchs
Description: First time self-assembled symmetric nanoholes were made using droplet etching technique by molecular beam epitaxy on AlInAs matrix, lattice matched to InP substrate.

  • Title: GaAs quantum dots for quantum photonics
    Student: Huiying Huang
    Status: Defended on 29-11-2021
Summary: Demonstration of Yagi-Uda planar dielectric antenna containing GaAs QD to increase the
QD brightness is important for a single photon source; Demonstration of correlation effect, a prime factor in determining optical properties of our weakly confined dots; Interface of a QD with 87Rb atom.
